Lance, is PrcView similiar to Belarc Advisor? If so, how does one compare to the other? When you click on the PROCESSES tab, you see it listed again as "iexplorer.exe", that is, the executable file (or Process) that allows IE to run. If you have two or more instances of IE running (IE doesn't have tabbed browsing like Firefox), you will see that there are two or more entries under both APPLICATIONS and PROCESSES (what you said you are seeing). You have nothing to worry about it. It certainly is part of IE. If you really want to see at anytime just what processes are running and where they are actually on your hard drive, there is a handy utility called PrcView which will allow you to view those processes: http://www.xmlsp.com/pview/prcview.htm It gives a listing of the running processes and lists their path to find them in Explorer. Doris, PrcView is a process viewer utility that displays detailed information about processes running under Windows. For each process it displays memory, threads and module usage. For each DLL it shows full path and version information: http://www.xmlsp.com/pview/prcview.htm The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, including Microsoft Hot fixes, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server.: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html As you can see they produce two entirely different reports.
