    3. Nancy, another area that may need cleaning is your mouse pad. While this is a particularly important task when using an infra-red type mouse, it can also affect the performance of a ball-type mouse. Any crumb or other impediment could cause an incorrect signal being generated by the mouse. See if that is what your problem is. I realize that this usually indicates some gunk inside... But, I just cleaned it about a month ago!! Same symptoms, and there was hardly any gunk in it at all, then. (I can get it apart, but have to wait for husband to come in, so he can put it back together! i can't do it.) Could anything else be causing this extremely annoying behavior? Have I got a bad mouse? It seems to get this way, really often... Grrrr! Thanks, NancyT
