    1. Add and Remove Programs
    2. I have downloaded updates for different things, microsoft, adaware, etc, and some of these were put in the Add/Remove Programs. My question is can I delete these from the Add/Remove Program with out deleting the update. Why are some in the Add/Remove Programs and some are not? Thanks for your help.

You can remove them from the list in Add /Remove Programs by using software such as TweakUI and that will leave them on the system. It's useful sometimes to disguise a program that you don't want others to see but limited functionality otherwise. It's not as if you go into Add / Remove Programs on a regular basis and even if it does look a bit full it's not going to cause a problem - it's just a list :-) bjc> Why are some in the Add/Remove Programs and some are not? That's pretty much down to the programmer - most will like there to be an entry whilst some prefer to have their own removal program that does things a bit different to the standard Windows way of doing it. Of course when it comes to viruses and spyware they definitely don't want entries that would enable a user to just click on to remove themselves <lol> -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Xandros 2.0 Deluxe
