The only difference is that you access these settings while logged onto AOL by clicking on the SETTINGS icon in the AOL tool bar and then selecting Internet [web] options in the resulting index. Next click on Internet Explorer Settings and then select the Security tab and follow the instructions you listed. I'm not sure I'd want to be messing with the default Active X settings AOL has selected though--there are security issues involved as you noted. Joan
