Here's what happens: The computer is on and working fine. I leave for a couple of hours and when I return the computer is still on but the monitor screen is blank. Neither moving the mouse and or anything else I do will make the monitor active again. Hitting the power button and rebooting is the only thing that works. After rebooting everything is fine again. This has happened 3 times recently. I have not changed any settings. Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks for any help. Vonda

If it's going into sleep mode or hibernate then a single press of the power button ( i.e. not holding in until it forces a shut down ) should wake it up. You may also have a screen saver that's faulty so try changing to a different one to check that. -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.04 'Jaunty'
