Some months back I received a message about the differences among several genealogy software programs, but I can't remember if it was from this list. However, I thought I would post my question anyway in the hope that someone would have helpful advice. That earlier message stated that Family Treemaker became unstable at a point where the database became overloaded, i.e., 50,000 names. I believe that the recommended alternative software program was either The Master Genealogist or Legacy. If anyone is familiar with any of these programs and could advise on the most dependable one for storing the information of over 50,000 individuals, I would appreciate a discussion here. Presently I am using Family Treemaker Version 8 and I'm afraid to upgrade until I get more information from various experienced sources. Maryellen
