Norma, It may be that only one of your 100mb disks went bad. Did you try any others to try out? The magnetic media on the disks can go bad at any time, just like 5.25 and 3.5 floppies. The sooner you stop using it as a back-up, the better off you'll be. Also, back up to two disks in case one goes bad. I used to have a 100mb Iomega parallel zip drive myself, but stopped using it years ago, as a few of my 100mb disks went bad and I couldn't trust it, plus it was slow. I've still got it around here somewhere -- if you live in the OKC area you can have it, plus the disks. You can back up your data reliably by e-mailing yourself on one or more of your AOL addresses and include your files as attachments and store it on AOL rather than your computer. Also you can do the same on GMail. Woody ===================== Nlment@aol.com writes: I have an old 100 MB Zip drive that I've used for back-up for one of my applications. Suddenly, yesterday it wouldn't work. I found it on "My computer" as Drive F, so I thought maybe the drivers just needed to be updated. I went to the Iomega site and downloaded the current driver, but it still won't recognize it. My warranty has LONG run out, so can't get any on line support from Iomega. Any of you have an idea as to what I can do???? I am running it in a parallel port in XP Pro. Thanks Norma **************S T R E T C H your technology dollars with great laptop deals from Dell!
