Hi list: I have been trying to print to my Officejet J3680 All-in-one printer. I power up the printer and in the window it says FAX and I am unable to clear it. I have pulled the power cord to reset it and the same thing happens. What do I have to do to clear out the FAX, so I can print. I have never used the FAX or even set it up for Faxing. My system is Vista Home Premium. Bill Forshay - San Antonio, TX
Bill, I have the same thing happen, I have an HP Office jet-4315 all in one. I did all sort of things to get it to print-but now I forget what I had to do. so I am curious as to the answer! I have never connected it for Fax nor do I plan to. I scan and print and copy! Helen

Usually whatever these multi-function devices are set to locally it doesn't disable the computer doing anything else such as printing or scanning. Can you print a test page if you go to [ Start / Control Panel / Printer and Other Hardware / Printers ] and then Right Click on the printer icon and select 'Properties' the 'Print a Test Page' ? Also what does the 'Status' of the printer show. It should be 'Ready' and 0 jobs pending. -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.10'Karmic'
