Did the mouse you replaced it with have the same type of connection - i.e. the round plug ? If so then see if you can use a USB mouse instead ( these have the rectangular USB plug ). Failing that you may be having a problem with electrical noise from the power supply unit. Once came across a system that had this and the mouse was behaving very erratically but worked fine on another PC so it wasn't the mouse at fault. Also what happens if you use the keyboard ? Many things that we do with a mouse click can also be done using keyboard though not all programs have this alternative way of 'clicking'. -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.10'Karmic'
