    3. Hi, I am not sure about home movies which I suppose are 8mm tapes, but I bought a VHS/DVD recorder for about $200 Cdn. and am tranferring video 8 tapes from an analog video recorder, old home movies that had been transferred to VHS commercially, onto DVDs. It works well and I am satisfied with the results. Dave in cold Montreal

    3.   Thanks, Dave for your suggestion and for sharing your experience.    - I have 8mm and 16mm reels of film -- as well as -- VCR tapes. Converting them is going to be my 2010 project.    - What is the name of the equipment you are using? P.S.    - We have snow on the ground in Dallas & Fort Worth, Texas.      If I remember correctly what the weather man said ....      this is only our 6th white Christmas Day in the past 100+ years.  --- On Sat, 12/19/09, D.
