Pete, I am probably just plain dumb about anything related to the computer despite the fact that I am not a newbie. I find that Ccleaner is the easiest to use, and there is nothing intricate about setup. I use it every night before signing off. Quick and easy if you don't mess with the registry; from what i have read, even some of the more experienced people don't bother with Ccleaner's registry. She and Jayne also mentioned CCleaner, which will work, but I haven't jumped into the water on that one, yet. I often get into trouble with broad-brush programs, as I'm usually looking for a specific solution while the program wants to play-around with everything..............and I often have difficulties wading-through all of the options. Any ideas? I'll probably try the CCleaner download - when I get the courage - and I hope that might clear-out the remaining AVG bits. Assuming that is my problem, of course, and not something else [gr]. Pete .................................................... **************Recession-proof vacation ideas.
