You can tell that if you close Outlook down and the message box stopped appearing. Evidently you can still read e-mail, is this in Outlook or has that been totally unworkable since this started ?? There is a possibility that the Outlook PST file has some errors in it but luckily there is a repair tool built into Outlook for just this scenario ( read: it happens a lot so you need it !! ). http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287497 will show you how to do it. -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Xandros 4.0 Home Edition Premium
Hi, Barry, Thank you so very much. I can still get (and send) email but all my 'input mail' prior to May 21 has totally disappeared. I have tried looking for it in the deleted file but it is not there. I had been saving a few to answer or print out (lesson learned here). Plus a family member had sent some photos (via Snapfish) which I had not yet downloaded to my computer and I really wanted to keep them. I am in the process of reading the Input repair tool kit - my son is due to visit on Memorial Day and I will get him to help me. Again, many, many thanks for sharing you knowledge. Floreda, Is it possible you accidentally clicked something to set it to "Hide Read Messages" ? Check - "View, Current View" to see if "Show All Messages" has a "Dot" beside it Courtney sitnah@cox.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tallygators" <tallygators@earthlink.net> > Hi, Barry, > > > > Thank you so very much.
