Nancy, Many of us use a free program called CCleaner...works great and I have never, not ever, had a virus, worm or other related problem. In fact, recently at work we had a new 'server' installed and when they were going around to each person's computer setting it up the IT person told me I had the 'cleanest' computer in the company. I looked at him and said one word: "CCleaner". He got a big smile and said - "Smart". Depending on what you are already using, if you haven't had trouble you don't necessarily have to install anything else. But an antivirus program is a must - I use AVAST which is also free and runs in the 'tray' at the bottom of the monitor screen. It is very handy and is working all the time defending my computer from any nastiness out there in cyberspace. Links for both are http://www.ccleaner.com/download (choose the free download route) and also http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html Good luck - and for those in the US....have a safe and good holiday.
