    1. Re: [SR-NEWBIE] Internet
    2. Dale- YES...most definitely they can. I do it all the time. I'm going to assume you use a wireless router (and, if not, you SHOULD) which is connected by cable between your broadband modem and your computer and your laptop is on a wireless network connected to the router. If you have things set-up properly you can even access a printer connected to your desktop machine from the laptop. The only caution would be...if you are trying to log onto your ISP with the same account from both computers at the same time you may need to do so with two different usernames/screen names. For example, I use Comcast to connect to the Internet via cable modem, and also use my AOL account which I access via TCP/IP connection using my cable connection. I can only log onto AOL with one screen name at a time--if I'm connection to AOL on the desktop machine under my primary screen name and try to log on from the laptop--I'll get kicked off on the desktop. But I can be on with both if I am online under two different screen names. Joan In a message dated 8/19/2009 2:47:12 P.M.
