I know there must be a reason why my computer remembers, and pops up for my convenience, passwords for various sites--but really I don't care Why, I just wonder how I can make it happen for ALL the sites I want it to happen on! I do have all the pop-up blockers, bells and whistles for viruses, etc. Is that just one of the downsides of having all that? I have way too many password variations, and am always having to look them up. Just a minor annoyance, but still......if there is a quick way to get around it, I'd do it. It just seems so capricious, how it works for some sites and not for others, even if I check boxes that say, "remember my password," or "let me stay on here for two weeks". This neat help is one of the good things that cookies are used for so if you've got a coolie blocking program which is blocking sites then those sites will not be able to save passwords. So the thing to do is look at the settings on all your security programs around cookies and see what may be stopping it. -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.04 'Jaunty'
