    1. [SR-NEWBIE] Windows old
    2. Barry, I have re installed vista now and it corrected the Windows Installer Problem. My question now is each time I do a re-install it makes a Windows.old folder. Since this is my 3rd. re-install I have 3 Windows.old folders. They are Windows.old and Windows.old.000 and Windows.old.001. Each time I scan anything on the computer it scans all the windows.old folders. This takes a lot of time. My question is how many of this do I have to keep and can I delete the ones I do not need?? bobzmail@juno.com ____________________________________________________________ Best Weight Loss Program - Click Here! http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/BLSrjpTFoYa9JfU8fqsuVv1G0k0iL1kTjWJbuAD0wGIw8PzwZVyKiAffl9u/

    3. Hello Bob, Monday, August 24, 2009, 12:07:52 PM, you wrote: bjc> My question now is each time I do a re-install it makes a bjc> Windows.old folder. When a fresh install of Vista is done on a drive that's already had Vista on it this 'old' folder is created which contains *all* the files that were on the original installation. The idea is that you go through this folder and copy the stuff you need ( documents / pictures / music etc ) and when sure you've missed nothing it's OK to remove the 'old' folder.
