    3. It could be just about anywhere on the computer - top, sides, front, maybe even the back. Look carefully, it's very small on some computers Courtney [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "RickandRana" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 10, 2010 7:07 AM Subject: Re: [SR-NEWBIE] Questions about laptops > On Sun, Aug 8, 2010 at 10:41 PM, Lisa <[email protected]> wrote: > >> My laptop is on a wireless router also. >> >> On the front of my laptop is a small (what I call slide bar) to turn the >> internet off or on. 3. Hello Courtney, Friday, August 20, 2010, 8:05:43 AM, you wrote: CT> It could be just about anywhere on the computer - top, sides, CT> front, maybe even the back. Look carefully, it's very small on CT> some computers Not all laptops have physical switches and Dell tend not to. Instead look at the keyboard and usually the [F2] button has a wireless symbol on it - if so then press that to turn the wireless on/off ( may need to hold down the [Fn] key for it to work ). There may be some sort of indicator or sometimes you just get a message on-screen to say that the wireless bit has been turned on or off. -- Best regards, Barry mailto:[email protected] MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 10.04 'Lucid' 64bit
