    1. Re: [SR-NEWBIE] Administrative Rights
    2. I run my desktop with admin rights always. I didn't create an alternate user. As a result, if I want to install a new software program, I don't have to log off from a non-admin user name and log onto an admin user name. Not so on my laptop. I created a user name with no admin rights that would be for "general everyday use". But ... as a result, any time I want to update software or install another program, I have to shift over to the admin user name. That had become a real pain in the neck. However, it is supposed to spare one the ordeal of malware sneaking in and changing your "stuff" while using the non-admin user name. I don't know how to change my laptop settings to delete the "no-admin" logon names, but I figure it's not worth the trouble since it is a laptop that I travel with and is more subject to theft and attacks than my desktop. Is this true and how do I change it? Thanks for help.
