    1. [SR-NEWBIE] Slotting email messages out of a Folder and back to the IN folder
    2. Nancy & Ted
    3. Hi All, I get a ton of email related to genealogy and also store sale emails. I have these go to folders so that when I am out of town my IN box doesn't get filled up. Sometimes I want to move one Back to the IN box, and can't figure out how to do that--i.e., I want them to come in permanently to the IN box now. In Outlook Express, when I go through the same steps that I did to get it into the folder in the first place, I am not allowed to do the final Click to make that happen. I go to Messages, Create Message Rules, Where the From Line Contains, Move to Specified Folder...................but am not allowed to click OK. Can anyone tell me how to get the emails back to the In box? Thanks! Nancy

    3. If you just want to move one message from the folder to the In Box, open the message, click on file, click on move to In box and OK. If you want all future message you receive to go to the In box instead of the folder, just delete the rule you created to get them to the folder. 3. Hello Nancy, Friday, November 12, 2010, 3:36:56 PM, you wrote: NT> I get a ton of email related to genealogy and also store sale NT> emails. Keeping e-mails in folders is actually a very good idea, as is keeping the Inbox itself as empty a possible. There's no need to move a message back to the Inbox to be able to access it or reply etc, you can do everything you need from within the folder that its been filtered into. Personally I'd say you have things set up correctly as it is and not 'fix' an unbroken scheme <lol> Was there any reason for wanting to have messages clogging up your Inbox again ?? -- Best regards, Barry mailto:[email protected] MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 10.04 'Lucid' 64bit
