Of course in my case my previous info is available in the program but you would not have that advantage in the first year. The charge to file online (no charge until you actually file) is $10.00 for both Federal and State. Good Luck Don From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: [SR-NEWBIE] Windows 2000 with TurboTax 2009 Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2010 19:11:21 -0800 (PST) I'm still using Windows 2000.  But in attempting to prepare for filing my tax return, I found a note to myself that TurboTax would no longer be supporting Windows 2000 after 2008.  My son suggests that I just download the TurboTax 2009 on-line rather than using their software.  I'm reluctant to pay them the $79. or so fee if I'm not likely to be able to use it.  I have used it for years so it's a pretty simple matter to access last year's data. I suppose it's time to upgrade, maybe to XP, but I'd rather not have to learn a new system at this tax time.
