    3. G'Day all. My wife has got a new ASUS netbook Eee, it has a built in LAN and Bluetooth wireless receiver? I know very little about them, and wonder if someone can help! presently I have it set-up to my home wireless system so as to go on line, but in May we intend taking it with us on our holidays (five weeks) in the UK, what have we got to do so we can get on line while there. i.e. what will we require in the form of add on's, & and an estimated cost? would be very helpful as I have no idea of UK's present technology.. Many thanks Regards Arthur South Australia.

We have gone a little way past the stone tablet and chisel days over on this side of the pond so your Asus will be able to connect into any Wi-Fi signal available when you get here. There are many places now that have free Wi-Fi ( pubs, coffee shops etc ) and even hotels where you are staying may well have it too ! Main thing to find out is whether the charger is dual-voltage so that it will work on our higher mains voltage of 230v as opposed to your 110v. It should say on the label what the input range is and if it's clearly 100-240 or similar and possibly says 50/60Hz too then you are good to go. Don't even attempt to plug the charger in over here unless you are 100% certain it's compatible - plugging a 110v device into our 230v mains is spectacular if you like fireworks and flames but not generally recommended <lol> Other than that, happy holidays and don't forget to visit the Lake District up here in the north west of England where I live if you can :-) -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.10'Karmic'
