    1. Re: [SR-NEWBIE] opera
    2. After doing the IE7 "reset" as Barry says, I'd upgrade IE7 to IE8. IE 7 gave me problems opening PDF and SWF files. I had read about problems with IE8 that made me gun shy, but I'm now using IE8 on both my desktop and laptop, and there have been no problems. Or any way to get ie7 to move faster Opera is a pretty good browser and I've tried the latest one myself. Still like the extras that Firefox have and although Opera has made a lot of good changes to the layout I still feel uncomfortable using it, but that may be more down to the fact I use Firefox exclusively. As for IE7 - reset it to defaults by going to [ Tools / Internet Options / Advanced ] and clicking on the reset button in there. This will disable all toolbars, reset security to defaults and change the home page back to what it was when the system was new. After you've done that, and IE7 is working again, then either switch to Opera or update IE7 to IE8 which is a lot more secure !! -- Best regards, Barry mailto:[email protected]
