    1. [SR-NEWBIE] Monitor issue??
    2. For the last few days, when I first power on my computer, the display on the monitor flashes on and off for several minutes, then stops. Today, I noticed that not only was the screen going blank, but the power button was also going dark when the screen was blank. I've downloaded the most current chipset drivers from Intel which has had no effect on the problem. The problem seemed to coincide with a windows update, but I'm not sure as I don't always hang around for boot up. Does anyone have a clue?? Is it the monitor or something in my PC?? I have an ASUS P4P800-VG motherboard on an Intel Pentium 4 chip with Intel 82865G graphics controller Revision 2. I'm using a Princeton 19 inch flat screen monitor and windows XP Can anyone help??? Check that the power plug is seated properly in the back, it's very similar to a bad connection there so worth checking out. Only way to tell if it's the monitor or PC is to try a know good monitor on this system or try the suspect monitor on a known good PC. Once you can determine which one it is you have a chance of finding out what's going on :-) -- Best regards, Barry mailto:[email protected] MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.10'Karmic'
