If you are a paying AOL customer and can call tech support (free AOL users aren't entitled to phone support) call them and explain the problem. This has come up before and the phone techs were able to talk the callers through some steps (a bit complex) to get things working right again. I had this issue on my old laptop -- and it involves a file that got corrupted. You probably also get an error message when you first load the AOL software telling you about a corrupted file and saying AOL will try to fix it--but the file remains corrupted. When you tried to restore it using the AOL disk did you reinstall or what? You may need to do a "clean" install meaning remove the existing AOL version and install fresh from the disk but I'm sure on our AOLers mailing list a few people wrote that phone tech support was able to get the problem fixed without reinstalling. I have to click on each 'envelope' in order to see who sent it & the message. Also, I can no longer click on reply, forward & one more thing which I have forgotten. Anyone else having this problem? My husband uses a different computer & doesn't have any problems. I used the aol disc hoping to restore it, but that didn't help. TIA Bev Carlson of MN, USA
