    3. Thanks Bettye for replying. I will be the big 70 on the 28 of June. This is the only birthday that I dread. I know its just a number, but its a BIG NUMBER. Plus the guru said he will fix 7 to look like 2000. -- > Bev Carlson ------------------------------ > > Message: 2 > Date: Sat, 29 May 2010 21:43:36 -0400 > From: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [SR-NEWBIE] Windows 7 advice? > To: [email protected] > Message-ID: <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed Hi Bev! I received Windows 7, the cadilac version (don't remember the exact name) as a gift from my son-in-law.  I've worked my way thru on the Windows.  This is the easiest to use.  It runs fast and smooth.  When you install it, it offers you a guide but I didn't spend much time using it.  It does all sorts of clever things that I never use.  I basically use my laptop to do genealogy and download and print some things I need for my business.  I also check for workshops and business leads on line, file my income tax, and keep my personal and business accounting up to date.   I got my first computer in 1994.  I would consider myself to be an intermediate user.  I definitely belong on this list as I am 69, pushing 70.   So don't be afraid of it.  Learning new things keeps our minds agile.
