Rick attempted to send this to the list and it got blocked at RootsWeb and rejected for the reason specified below. I can't answer Rick's question about turning off rich text editors in gmail -- can someone respond to the issues below? Thanks for helping! Joan, admin [email protected] ----------------------------------------------- I apologize. I do not know how to turn off the rich text editors. Will you kindly explain? Thank you. Our new computer with OS Windows 7, does not backup MyFiles (WP12) and My New Folder. Why not? How can we get these backed up on Drive K of external hard drive? 2. Using Windows XPpro, I had one photo-editing program, PhotoImpact, and all photos were saved to that software, edited there and emailed from that software. In Windows7, there is a muddled mess that we cannot figure out: 1. Windows Live and 2. Kodak Easy Share that we installed for use with digital camera 3. PhotoImpact, that we installed from old computer 4. Paint. All our photos are stored among these various parts of Windows7; all of these various programs act differently from the other, for example, from Kodak Easy Share, I cannot email a photo. We read that with Paint one can edit photos by opening photo in Paint and then proceeding with editing. Paint will not open our photos; neither the albums from Easy Share nor those from PhotoImpact. Will someone offer advice? A page to study? What we would like is to have again all our photos under one roof, so to speak----is that possible with Windows7? Just when we thought we were getting comfortable with the old computer, it went the way of old computers----stopped with a loud ticking and would not re-start. We are studying a bit each day the various tutorials we have found that explain both Windows 7 and Office 7. Any and all help sincerely appreciated. Rick Powell
