Hello List, My son passed away unexpected last week and I have his computer in which he has password protected. Is there anyway to override the password and get into the computer? My wife and I are in the process of settling his estate and need to find out what information he has on the computer that will help us. After I see what is on the computer, I intend to remove and destroy the Hard Drive. Hi Lloyd, Sorry for your loss. My nephew had a laptop from his former employer with a password. I googled and found several sites which I sent him. YouTube has some good ones. He said one of the you tube sites did it for him. I have also heard that if you remove the battery (the little one inside of desktop pc's) it will wipe out passwords.
