    2. Ema and Ron, Here is the link to Irfanview: http://www.irfanview.com/ However, Ema, you already have Photoshop Elements V8, and that is better than Irfanview. I recommend you not add Irfanview with all of the other graphics programs you have on your computer, as it would slow it down. Woody ====================== [email protected] writes: Woody What an amazing picture. It is perfect. Could you give me please the exact link to get the Irfanview with the clone. Ron. I have Photo elements 8 but because I am a hoarder I also have Paint.net and Gimp which are free paint programs that also have cloning if you want to do anything else. Ema I've heard good comments about Irfanview. Irfanview has recently added cloning to its capabilities, so that you can clone part of one picture into another picture. EXAMPLE: http://www.minco-ok.com/history/woolly.jpg (I did the above with Paint Shop Pro 8 or 10, but Irfanview has the capability.) Also, with Irfanview you should be able to paste a picture on top of another picture. One has to resize one picture in a process of trial and error to get the scale right. I am looking for something similar which is easy to work, the main thing I am wanting to do is to be able to use my own photos and take parts of one photo and fit it into another photo. Can any one help with what I am wanting to do?, Ron.C. West Oz.

    3. Hello Woody, Thursday, October 21, 2010, 5:47:05 PM, you wrote: Wac> I recommend you not add Irfanview with all of the other graphics Wac> programs you have on your computer, as it would slow it down. The only time that adding a program slows down a PC is when run at the same time as other programs ( and that can often be relieved by boosting memory if you can ), just installing another graphics program won't have any effect - unless the Hard Drive is desperately short of space but that's a different matter. Agreed that Photoshop Elements 8 would be far better than IrfanView but some functions are easier to work with in different programs so it may be that the clone in Photoshop isn't as intuitive ? -- Best regards, Barry mailto:[email protected] MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 10.04 'Lucid' 64bit
