Hello Bette, Friday, September 24, 2010, 10:01:36 AM, you wrote: B> Recently found out that my old AOL address is still current and B> being used by others to send e-mail to my contacts. In that case it looks like the password has been broken and allowed access. See if you can log into the account yourself using your original password - if so then change it to something a lot harder to guess such as U8f93Gd01XplQ7 !! If not then get back to AOL and say you've forgotten your password and get them to reset it ( they'll use a default such as ABC123 ) and again log in and change the password as above. Remember to make a note of this password yourself !! AFAIK AOL e-mail accounts are for life but if you don't use it at all for a while they may just delete it at some point. Either way, if you've locked out the spammers then job done :-) -- Best regards, Barry mailto:[email protected] MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 10.04 'Lucid' 64bit
