Donna, I had the same problem last year. As I would be typing along, I would find that what I typed had moved up to the top or middle of the document. Since I was typing a manuscript, it was a serious problem. It didn't make any difference whether I used the touchpad or the mouse. After much hair pulling, I was told that the software that comes with a new laptop computer, such as Word, Excell, etc., has limited free use, usually for 30,60, or 90 days. After that it becomes unstable. I didn't kinow whether to believe this, but I went out and bought the latest versions of Word and Excel, which I use most. After installing these, I never had the problem again. I don't know if this is a solution for you, but you might consider how old your software is. Maryellen In a message dated 9/7/2010 9:19:34 P.M.
