I don't know the answer to that. I just know they do because that's the only way they can come up with those alleged "invitations". A skim over their "Terms" doesn't seem to suggest permission for them to invade one's address book. However, I do know from reviewing complaints about the "MyLife" social network that joining "MyLife" has wording expressly says they can get into your computer. "MyLIfe" is extremely aggressive. There are ways in Facebook's privacy and security settings to limit what Facebook can do. I've received instructions from some on how to set them but I forget what they are. Googling on [ recommended facebook privacy settings ] provides some very good information on that. Is there perhaps something we can do ito block such intrusions? Whether or not you answer this question, I thank you for your time and help. Rana
