    1. [SR-NEWBIE] File download stuck
    2. I was downloading a picture from an email and I don't know what happened but it seems to be stuck somehow. I can't download it or any others. It keeps saying "You cannot start a download while a file transfer is already in progress. Please wait until the current transfer is complete and then try again." I have been waiting for 2 days, have turned off the computer, and even restored the system to an earlier date, but it is still the same. Went to Task Manager and it does not show FF running so I can't end it. Download Manager shows this picture being downloaded but it doesn't seem to do anything--at least, it keeps saying it is in progress. Can someone tell me how to end this so I can download the pictures I want to? I would appreciate any help. Thank you. </HTML>

Try Right Clicking on the file in Download Manager and stopping it then do the Right Click again and delete. If this doesn't work or you do this and it does the same thing again then you may have a corrupted Cache in Firefox - go to [ Tools / Preferences / Advanced / Network ] and click on the 'Clear Cache' button. Also check that Firefox isn't set to use too large a Cache - 50Mb is ample ! -- Best regards, Barry mailto:[email protected] MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.10'Karmic'
