When we transferred our records from Maxtor to Windows7, 64 bit, the end result is horrendous. Our neatly labeled, alphabetically organized folders are now a mass of files randomly stored: No folders, nothing in alphabetical order. There are 1534 files scattered around in never before seen fashion. Someone told us the problem lies in the manner in which we transferred the files and that it can be corrected. (We thought it was characteristic of Windows7 until we asked someone about it). Is it possible for us to transfer the files from Maxtor to Windows7, 64 bit and have them in same order as when using XPpro, SP3? Can we do this ourselves? As regular readers of this column know, we are very computer ill-literate! Many thanks. Rick Powell
