Don't know what you used to transfer but this is definitely not usual, folders are generally copied intact and in their original order. The best way to do this sort of thing IMHO is to use a USB caddy to fit the old Hard Drive in and plug into the new computer then use Windows Explorer to copy files from the external drive to the PC. Can this be done as you have described at this late date? I have put a great deal of into into our FTM program and have continued to seek and find (with great difficulty) and update our research. I am not sure I feel capable of erasing all and starting over using yur method. What do you think? Do we go to the store and purchase a "USB CADDY"? Many thanks.
