There are two places to print an e-mail on a Hotmail page. Wrong one: Go to file>Print (Prints the entire web page along with the e-mail) Right one: Click on the little printer icon in the middle near the top of the page (prints only the e-mail) Same principle applies to other web based e-mail, such as Yahoo. I am not understanding this. My computer was in the repair shop and I lost the above HTML editor for web pages. I did a new download, but now when I make a change in the file and save it, nothing happens. When I open the page, no changes have been made. Did I get a bad download? The 4.0 version is no longer supported so I can't ask questions there. I did download the new (5.4) version but don't understand how to use it. I guess I am used to the old version and like it. Thanks for suggestions.

Barry It happened once before when I was trying to uninstall microsoft office from the trial and I had to use reno to uninstall it. Now I am trying to install windows 2003 the word program and it starts to install and is almost done when I get the 1402 message. Thanks in advance Ema From: Barry <barry@yobunny.co.uk> Hello Ema, Sunday, October 4, 2009, 1:57:09 AM, you wrote: Eac> I have tried to install some updates and things and I keep Eac> getting 1402 error. There should be a setting in McAfee that tells it to scan on boot up and that can be turned off. Also check the settings for the regular scanning and if you want to do this manually then also turn that off or set to a less intrusive schedule like once a week. One thing that slows down virus scanning is not having enough RAM in the system so if you are running with 512Mb or less then consider an upgrade to 1Gb or more. Amazing what a difference it can make and it's the most cost-effective update you can do to a PC :-) -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.04 'Jaunty'
Hello Nancy, Saturday, October 3, 2009, 3:27:23 AM, you wrote: NT> Just thought of it in relation to my genealogy when the one from NZ NT> didn't work. If a home recorded CD doesn't work then the problem may be the way it's been recorded ( e.g. not closed off for reading on a PC other than the one it's been written on ), or damage to the CD ( scratches, fingerprints, or being left in a hot place / exposed light ), or the CD drive doesn't like the particular make of CD ( different dyes are used by different makes and the colour difference may make some drives fail to detect properly ), or the lens on the reading CD has a bit of dust on it ( a CD lens cleaner disc is often all that's needed to fix this one ). A few of the reasons why saving data to CD is being superceded by the use of USB flash drives. These are cheap enough to buy, save data on, and post to friends - who can always record stuff on them to post back of course :-) -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.04 'Jaunty'
Woody, That is exactly what I do however there are times when I'm expecting "important" email and I'm anxious to get on with it! If all efforts for a fix fail guess I must learn to be patient! If you run the WinXP installation it will be able to wipe the HD clean of your programs / data but unless this is a manufacturer's recovery CD you'll then have to download / install all the hardware drivers for the PC. Depending on how many programs you need to remove it might be as easy to spend a few minutes in Add/Remove Programs than do a full restore back to factory conditions, especially if you then have to go looking for those hardware drivers ! -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Ubuntu 9.04 'Jaunty'
I haven't even tried to do it yet! but am working up to that. As well, I got a CD from a book from Canada that I have to unearth to see if it will work. Just thought of it in relation to my genealogy when the one from NZ didn't work. Nancy
