    2. In Thunderbird, as in Outlook Express (OE), you should have a "Forward as an attachment" feature, perhaps under a "Message" tab. If you forward a received e-mail as an attachment using that feature, that will preserve that e-mail intact, complete with the picture. This tactic is often used by others to overcome a glitch in their OE that drops out pictures from forwards. 3. I now recommend the Microsoft Security suite, also free, and well received by the computer techs. I am using it since my McAfee will expire in July and they are not offering me any kind of price break. Norton is available from Comcast but I would prefer not. The salesperson at Best Buy said it was a dialup modem. I do not know that much about them. I am glad I checked before I open the box, I am going to take it back and get the DynaLink . 2. I have a LinkSys router and I've found the brand to be extremely reliable. The important thing with a cable modem or other broadband modem is that it has to be compatible with your service provider's system. I know Comcast specifies which brands of modems you can use with their system and recently I had to replace my TEN YEAR OLD but still functioning USRobotics cable modem because Comcast was no longer going to support whatever the technology was for this old modem. Be well Ema As for IE7 - reset it to defaults by going to [ Tools / Internet Options / Advanced ] and clicking on the reset button in there. This will disable all toolbars, reset security to defaults and change the home page back to what it was when the system was new. After you've done that, and IE7 is working again, then either switch to Opera or update IE7 to IE8 which is a lot more secure !! -- Best regards, Barry
