Try the 3 generation tree at http://expertgenealogy.com/tree It can be the result of a genealogy search at http://expertgenealogy.com/websearch -----Original Message----- From: RKaye [mailto:mydesk-to-yours@myway.com] Sent: Monday, April 18, 2005 4:05 AM To: SENIOR-NEWBIE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Looking for a 4 generation Graphic Tree for 2 starting people Hi, I've spent hours looking for this "progam"?. I know one was suggested for use on (this list I believe), or another similiar one. It was just a simple, but nice graphic, leafy tree with built in blank fields, within the branches of the tree. There were 3 blank sets for genie info for a starting person, and 3 similiar sets, along side, for their starting partner. The blank fields could be filled in with a limited amount of info for each partner's ancester. It would be perfect for a "wedding tree" gift, and framable in a 8 x 11 format. The fill in blanks went upwards into the tree, not across. I downloaded it, for future use and, Poof!, it's now gone when I need it. Does anyone remember it, or have a suggestion, I have exhausted places to look that I know about, including google. I hope I was able to properly describe it, and would appreciate any help and suggestions. Thanks, RKaye San Diego mydesk-to-yours@myway.com
Nancy, normally the images on your computer can be opened by any of the photo editing programs. They all handle the normal image extensions - BMP, JPG, TIF etc. The exception being Paint Shop Pro which can (if the user lets it) create images in its format (extension PSP). The program doesn't have to "transfer" the image from one program to another. In XP images are usually saved within MY DOCUMENTS|MY PICTURES so it is just a matter of "directing" the program you are using at the time to that folder and the image you need. You can "save" images into other folders if you wish. For example, the images I need for my genelaogical records are all saved in a special folder for that specific purpose. Each of my genealogical programs use the images in that one folder. Lance On 4/18/05, Nancy Tollefson <mamat@gvtel.com> wrote: > Hooooo-boy, I'd like to see that, too!! Richard, No, I didn't have that send immeadiately checked.... I had thought it might be something like that... And this time.... I've recently got a new p.c. with X.P. & the program runs just as well. It's called Ulead Image Pals to Go. It does the lot, resizes, sharpens old pics, has it's own photo album function that you can view thumbnails, (I don't use the photo album ... but it is good), easily transfers pics into Word, Outlook, P.P.S. etc.,& does the bells & whistles as well. It lets you save in many formats. Best of all you don't need a great big, new beaut, p.c. to run the thing. My old girl was 9 years old, & had a 3 Gb hard drive. I should take a leaf from your book Floreda, & get all my old pics scanned & sorted, burned to c.d. + printed as well. One day :) Cheers Carolyn > Hooooo-boy, I'd like to see that, too!! Hi Floreda Photoshop Elements 3 is a very popular program and I would highly recommend it. You can read about it here. http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelwin/main.html A good thing about Photoshop is that there is lots of places to go on the internet if you are having problems. Eve I would like a suggestion from someone who uses a photo program. I have one that is about 5 years old but I need a new updated one. Price is not my primary consideration. I know they come with all sorts of Bells and Whistles - I do not care to switch faces on people or put people in the same picture that were not originally there. I want a program that will help me resize pictures, "bring out the best in none to sharp pictures", etc., help me put them in some sort of order. Hi - I know this is a minor thing compared to some of the troubles some of the listers are having, but I seem to have lost my long (very long) list of Favorites down the L. hand side of my home page (Google). I have a question. I have done so much saving of genealogy emails, in surname folders in outlook express, I need to get these all saved. I have over 2500. I have tired doing it one at a time, emails, but that gets tiring. do you know how I might just save all emails to a cd to burn? Lena

The "Search" icon with the magnifying glass up at the top right side is the search that I use. It has a recent "Search History" box down below, and when you click on the little arrow to the right of where you type in what you are searching you see your Recent Search History. You can "Clear All" or "Turn Off" whenever you wish. I think it's great. Velma Velma- Correct--and this is actually a Google search feature that AOL is using. Joan
