I have been asked this question many times Marilyn & my answer in short is HISTORY. What would we do without it? & without the ordinary person. the famous wouldn't be so. This is our little bit of fame or infamy. & who we are. It certainly wasn't Nelson, that won the battles but the men he commanded! as was the case with all our hero's Etc. It wasn't Stephenson that built the rocket. but his tradesmen. and so it goes. It's about how or ancestors, lived & died. what kind of work they did. who they married. in short better then any novel as it is ours. Helen, It's possible your address book is set to keep all addresses, that you reply to... to check on this: in OE >Tools > Options... on Option's send tab..if "Automatically put people I reply to, in my address Book" is checked, UNcheck it... For anything else, I guess you'd just delete it as you come to it... they just say something dumb, anyway... but, if they are a virus, you sure don't want it... PAX & good luck! Yep - separate ink tanks for the colours is definitely a plus point no matter what make of printer you go for. There is of course a minor downside to this ( as ever ) - if you have a 6 tank printer it won't work at all if one of them is out ... so if you've run out of yellow you still can't print a page of black text. Having said that, I think the plus side of knowing you aren't going to be forced to throw away some of that colour ink just because one of them runs low outweighs the need to have a full set of inks to hand :-) BTW - did anyone realize that ink tanks have a 'Use by' date too ? So it's no use stocking up on loads of them cheaply if you don't plan on using them quickly. After a while being stored too long in the drawer the chances are they won't work when you fit them !! -- Best regards, Barry mailto:barry@yobunny.co.uk MicroSoft Free Zone running Xandros 2.0 Deluxe

To fulfill a need I have to know as much as I can about the family that came before me...who's blood is running in my veins. Two of my cousins are also interested in our roots. One is working on a different branch of our family...the other just likes knowing about our past. My three children are really not interested. Two of my children are older than I was when this burning fire began inside me. With my youngest, there may be some hope. She might...just might get bitten by the bug. I became interested in my family history because my cousins were planning a first-ever reunion, and I thought it would be nice to compile what an uncle had begun many years before, before the age of computers. I used a cousin's computer and the very first version of Family Tree Maker because that is what he had. I sorted through letters to and from aunts and uncles and cousins and gleaned information for 6 generations back. I learned to use a computer because of the desire to use FTM. I continued to research because I wanted to know more about the people whose genes I carry. It was FUN, like putting the pieces of a puzzle together or solving a mystery. I am who I am because of the people who came before me, and I like feeling like I can know them through research. No one else in my generation of my family has been as obsessed as I have in researching, but that's okay. It is my job in my family to leave the information I have collected for the next generations. Some one, some day will pick up the torch and carry on. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.0 - Release Date: 4/29/2005
I got started with genealogy by a grandson who had a school project to do. This set the bug in me. Many family members are curious but do not want to do the work. I also know of some that so it resulting from and inherited disease. My husband has a non critical hand disease that per the doctor shows up mainly in men who ancestors came from Northern Europe.
