    3. Hi Barbara Click on the photo and little square boxes will appear in the corner. Click and drag the corners inwards and this will make the picture smaller. It might go out of shape, so you might have to click and drag on the little squares that are down the side or along the top of the picture too. 3. Right click on the picture and from the pop-up menu choose Open with... From the submenu choose Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, or try whatever else is on the list, or click Browse to get a longer list of programs. Joan A. 3. I use a program called Irfanview... it's a wonderful picture program... and best of all it's free... read about it at http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967 When I get a picture in an email, like you did, I just right click on it and it opens in Irfanview and I can name it and save it or do whatever I want to with it... hope this helps... 3. Sharyn, your OE files are all contained in a ".DBX" file. Again, the InsideOE site offers help in this area. Read about a handy backup utility here: http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/backup/ And this page offers advice on importing your folders: http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/faqs/how.htm#importOE5 Probably, what did occur when you last changed is that you allowed that service to install a new version of Internet Explorer as part of their setup. Outlook Express is a component of IE. This could have removed your ability to "see" your old ".dbx" folders, even though they may have been (or still are) there. Do a search for "*.dbx" files and see what you find. May work. Lance P. S. Check out Legacy Family Tree today! 3. Running windows 98 on a Compaq Computer- Occasionally I am told that I cannot open a file because I do not own it and that I must seek permission from the Administrator or the owner. I would like to know what I have must do in order to obtain permission to open the file in question. - This problem doesn't seem to be confined to any one application. Any explanation as to what is going on certainly would be appreciated. - Grandma Fern
