Hi Don and all. Merry Christmas and hope all is good with health and happiness at this season and always. Does any one know of a link and/or access to the Seminole War STEAMSHIPS and the names of each and times and all the intricate information from an emigration standpoint? Seems like some research has not been so invasive, but then maybe so! There are ships but not the inclusive ships from 1832 through 1856; from Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Do you all know what I am talking about? Thank you for any hints, help, links, research tips. I tried requesting my husband's ancestor's seminole war pension records from Washington but was told no records were there for ALEXANDER LUCKIE of Georgia. I found the following notation in a book titled INDIAN WAR PENSIONS (1892-1926) but I don't really understand all of it: Survivor's Application: wid. Judith J. WC-379 GA Sept. 1, 1892 FL War S.B. SA-9054 TX (8/27/1908 TX Vol) Does this mean he fought in a war in Florida and that he was a member of the TX Volunteers? I can't imagine him going all the way from GA to TX in those days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered my ancestors papers form the National Archives. I had to have his military rank. They sent a complete package with his entire military history from the Black Hawk Wars to the Seminole Wars in Florida during his five year enlistment: 1830 - 1835. ----- Original Message ----- From: "E ANDERSON" <bampaw6@sbcglobal.net> To: <seminole-wars@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 28, 2008 11:07 PM Subject: Re: [SEMINOLE-WARS] Hello > Still here and searching for my EAVES. > > Ellen Eaves Anderson > Bampaw6@sbcglobal.net > > > > > ---- Ed Burke <edburke@plateautel.net> wrote: >> Hey-everone, this is a test to see how many of you I can get a hold >> of----I have been busy and gone for quite a while-- >> >> With Respect >> >> Ed Burke >> > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > SEMINOLE-WARS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without > the quotes in the subject > and the body of the message > > > > Alive and well in California. I haven't worked on this family branch in a while. Are there any lists of the local militia who volunteered? My ancestor enlisted for short terms and was not in the regular army. Would the Florida archives have member lists or info on these groups? Would the National Archives have info, given that he wasn't in the regular army carolynd@hsc.edu ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: <elizabethl377@adelphia.net> Reply-To: seminole-wars@rootsweb.com Date: Mon, 28 Apr 2008 8:01:20 -0700 ---- Ed Burke <edburke@plateautel.net> wrote: > Hey-everone, this is a test to see how many of you I can get a hold > of----I have been busy and gone for quite a while-- > > With Respect > > Ed Burke > ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SEMINOLE-WARS- request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
