    3. Evidently Newton County, Mississippi was created from the southern half of Neshoba County, Mississippi in 1834. I did a search in Neshoba County for 1830 to find any Sellers and it turned up none. I also tried using Soundex. I then tried 1830 Mississippi for Sellers using Soundex and it turned up none and I don't think that is correct. Marie could you try what I did and see what you get. I was trying to find out who the widow Mary Sellers in 1840 Newton County, Mississippi could have been married to. He is perhaps the father of Allen Sedora Sellers, Sr. Georgia

    3. 1850 Newton County, Mississippi has a Mary Sellers and a Matthew Sellers (the M. K. Sellers in 1840?) Ancestry does not have it where you can view the image through the index yet. It said they were in unknown townships. Someone researching this family needs to go through the entire county and hopefully report back to us the results.
