I would say that this CW Sellers is not the son of Almon L. and Prudence Robbins Sellers. They did have a son born in FL - name Christopher (Kit) Columbus. But this CW below is not the correct age in 1860 to be CC Sellers. Second of all, the spouse and children do not match up to CC's spouse and children. Third, Almon's family lived in Coryell County Texas in 1860, not Wise County. Margie and all: These are my same questions because as posted before, Elizabeth Sellers who married Samuel Wilson and Rebecca Sellers who married Willis Watley (Whatley) are both next to or very near my JOHN WARD SELLERS in: 1860 Wise Co., TX Census, Cactus Hill P.O., p. 339A & continued on 339B. John Sellers, 33, AL is family #491 Rebecca M. Watley, 34 AL is family #495 (no husband listed) Samuel Wilson with wife Elizabeth J. (Sellers) are family #496 REBECCA WHATLEY (same lady) is in the 1870 Jack Co., TX Census living in Jacksboro with Francis, Lydia & Josephine Mary. No father listed. There are WARD & DEAN families listed on the same page. There were WARD families in Wise Co., TX in 1860 close to the SELLERS & WILSONs. JOHN WARD SELLERS oldest daughter, EMALINE BETHANIA SELLERS first married LEVI DEAN in JACK CO., TX. JOHN SELLERS moved to Jacksboro, Jack Co., TX. "JOHN W. SELLERS, native of Alabama, is listed on the "JACK COUNTY VOTERS, 1867-1869 as of July 27, 1867, indicating he had been in the state 16 YEARS, and in the county 3 YEARS, place of residence was Jacksboro, Precinct 1 with a note: Removed from County". Evidently, this was compiled shortly after the year ended 1869 and it would appear he had moved by that time. IF the record is correct, it would indicate John Ward had been in Texas since 1851. (In CORYELL CO. TX close to ALL those other SELLERS in the 1870 Census. SAMUEL & ELIZABETH JANE (SELLERS) WILSON were in Burleson Co., TX in the 1870 Census. DR. JOHN WARD SELLERS with family & SAMUEL & ELIZABETH JANE (SELLERS) WILSON family are next to each other in the 1880 BURNET CO., TX Census. JOHN WARD SELLERS was listed in the 1854 CORYELL CO., TX BRAND BOOK along with the other SELLERS and uses the same brand as E.E. SELLERS. JOHN was also on the 1855 TAX RECORD for CORYELL CO., TX. JOHN WARD SELLERS & 2nd wife, NANCY (CLEMENTS) SIRMAN (widow) were married by Edmond E. Sellers in Oct. 1870 and JOHN WARD SELLERS' oldest son, DR. MARVEL WHITNEY SELLERS & REBECCA JANE WILSON were married by EDMOND E. SELLERS in CORYELL CO., TX in Mar. 1876. I am convinced that JOHN WARD SELLERS, ELIZABETH SELLERS WILSON & REBECCA SELLERS WHATLEY/WATLEY are related to each other as well as to the other CORYELL CO., TX SELLERS but I cannot find who their parents were. I think they are connected to MATTHEW SELLERS & SARAH JANE WARD somehow but need some help maybe from somebody's dusty old trunk or Bible, etc. Is there someone out there with some additional info on the parents of Elizabeth, John & Rebecca?
