Dear Marie; I joined the group a short time ago trying to complete what my father had started. Here is what I have been able to determine about my Sellers genealogy so far. Please forgive me if it displayed correctly. According to the Genealogical and History Sketch my father ordered (date unknown) this is where our Sellers line began. Earliest records of the Sellers name in England England 1273 Adam de Celer of Yorkshire, England 1273 Roger de Celer of Yorkshire, England 1273 Henry Sellarius of Warwickshire London 1273 Richard Sellarius About the same time those of Warin, John and Hugh le Seler, who were living in the year 1300 Later part of the thirteenth century Bartholomew Sellarius County Kent England 1379 Alicia,Adam, Juliana and Agnes del Seler of Yorkshire Thomas Sellers og London latter sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, who had a son named George; and those of Thomas Sellers of St. James Clerkenwell London, early seventeenth century, who had a son named Robet, living in the year 1617. The Kent County branch branch of the family in England was represented in the latter 1600 by one John Seller or (Sellers), who was Rector of Eithorne and Saltwood, in that county. He married Anne, daughter of Thomas Cranmer of Canterbury, and had issue by her of four sons, Michaell, John, Henry and Charles. Youngest son Charles settled at London before 1634, was the father by his wife Anne, daughter of William Sewall, Mayor and Alderman of Coventury, of at least three sons, George, John and Charles The earliest German family of the same name is Hans Georg Soller of Weinheim in the early part of the seventeenth century and was the father of Hans Paul Soller, who married Anne Maria Schnider in 1665. Father of Hans Paul, Hans Adam, Hans Georg and Anna Maria ( died young), Anna Rosina, Hans Heinrich and Anna Maria. Hans Paul Soller married Christina Muller, she died 1695. Hans Paul Soller second wife Anna Maria Heilmann. Hans Paul was the father of Maria Salome, Paul Christian, Johann Conrad, John Stephan and Anna Katharina of whom the eldest son died without issue. Johann Conrad, second son was the father by his wife, Anna Maria Margaretha Reinwirth, whomhe married in 1741 of Johanna Christoph, Maria Katharina, Anna Maria, Maria Philippina and Johanna Peter. Hans Adam Soller second son of Hans Paul Soller/ Anne Maria Schnider was the father by his wife Margaretha( surname unknown) of Anna Katharina(died young), Philipp Heinrich, and another Anna Katharina, of whom the only son Philipp Heinrich Sollers, emigrated from Germany to Franconia, Pa in 1728. Hans Heinrich Soller third son of Hans Paul and Anne Maria Schnider, married Maria Katharina of AnnaMargaretha, Johann Philipp, Johann Jakob, Johann Wendel and several others. One Samuel Sellers, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Sellers of Derbyshire, England, emigrated to Philadelphia Pa., with his brother George about 1681, who was accidentally killed shortly after his arrival to America, no decendents. Samuel was married in 1684 to Anna Gibbons. Their childern, Sarah, Mary, Samuel, Anna, Geroge and Elizabeth. Samuel Sellers Jr. resided at Derby, Pa, married Sarah Smith in 1712, childern, Samuel, Hannah, Elizabeth, John, (died young), Mary, Joseph, and another John. The genealogical history goes on a bit more but here is my direct family; My GG granfather was Reverened Samuel J. Sellers B:10/09/1871, D:10/27/1955 He was either from Wicthitall or Rockwall Texas? Married Tina Trout B;8/24/1876 D:02/24/1948, not sure where she is from. Samuel J. Sellers brother and sister were: Rosa B. Sellers, B:10/26/1892 D:10/24/1979 Nora Sellers, B: D: Three other sisters, of whom I have not found the history on but believed to be of Rockwall Texas Brothers: William N. Sellers B: 12/30/1849 D: 04/13/1925 Joe A. Sellers B:02/23/1910 D: 04/23/1968 Orville A. Sellers, not sure of birth/death yet. I do not know where these sibiling where born yet. I have pictures of thier headstone,William N. Sellers, Joe A. Sellers, Tina (Trout) Sellers, and Robert Samuel, Rosa, Samuel J, Nora but can't make out the dates on her headstone. Nor do I know the name of the cemertary where they are buried, I have looked just can't find them yet. Samuel J. Sellers and Tina Trout childern where: Robert Samuel Sellers Jr B:08/12/1899 D:01/03/1941, place of birth; Blue Grove Texas He Married Sarabeth (Mouze)Nicholas B:1918 D:1981, I believe born in Wichita Fall Texas, She was bured in Antelope Cemetary in Texas Their childern were: Lena Fay (Francis) Sellers, Birth place and place of death not sure yet . Billy Sellers, Birth place and place of death not sure yet Robert Sameul Sellers Jr (My father), B:01/03/1938 D:05/04/2001 Born in Fort Woth Texas.
