David- I am a SELLERS descendent (Bessie Burnet SELERS of Mississippi), and I have a neurological disease that is compatable with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease (also compatible with many other neuropathies). If CMT is more common among SELLERS lines than the general population this will be of great interest to SELLE(A)RS with undiagnosed neurological illnesses. There are several genetic tests for different types of CMT. A positive family history might convince our physicians to order these tests for CMT genes. There are several varieties of CMT with differing symptoms, pattern of genetic inheritance and age of onset. Please check the two attached web sites for information on CMT. http://www.neuro.wustl.edu/neuromuscular/time/hmsn.html http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/ghr/disease/charcotmarietoothdisease;jsessionid=6EAAA62BF0737F26DF6C1EF4BCEB7347 Regards, John F.
