    3. 1830 Dauphin County, Pennsylvania Halifax Township Philip Ettinger, Sr. 1 male 60 and under 70; 1 female 15 and under 20; 1 female 60 and under 70; Next door is Philip Ettinger 1 male under 5 years; 2 males 10 and under 15; 1 male 30 and under 40; 1 female 20 and under 30; On same page but several households away is Jacob Zearing 1 male under 5 years; 2 males 10 and under 15; 1 male 15 and under 20; 1 male 40 and under 50; 2 females 5 and under 10; 1 female 10 and under 15; 1 female 40 and under 50; 1 female 70 and under 80; John Ettien born 1822, son of Philip Ettien Jr. and Mary Sellers, married Susan Zearing, daughter of Jacob Zearing, in 1843 in Dauphin County, PA. John Ettien and Susan moved to Madison County, Iowa, where Susan died in 1881 and John later moved to Los Angeles, California, where he died in 1901. I think I found John Ettien listed as John Elkins in 1850 Des Moines County, Iowa census.
