    3. Georgia, I sure can clarify that :-) First off, Jerome H.B.'s son was Theodore Epps Sellers (30 Aug 1876 - 3 Jan 1938). My initial entry into my own database incorrectly listed him as "Thomas", hence the error on WorldConnect. Unfortunately, since I'm not all that experienced with doing updates to the records uploaded there, I haven't been able to update the WorldConnect record and thus correct erroneous family info. That original record was found in my Grandmother's family history which she put together in 1975. Since the record of the name supposedly was taken from the Sellers Family Bible, I didn't think to question it. However, I did question its validity once I saw the Census records myself awhile back. Only in the last couple of months when I found his gravestone in the Scottsville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Albemarle County, Virginia, was I able to 100% prove that his name was Theodore and not Thomas. Given Jerome's penchant for naming sons after his own brothers, I should've known the name would be Theodore and not Thomas. Theodore Epps Sellers is buried with his second wife, Sallie Thomas. Unsure where his first wife, Dalia Montgomery, is buried. You are correct as well that Jerome had a brother who was also named Theodore Sellers. Theodore Napoleon Sellers (12 May 1830 - 26 Jan 1918) married Jane Dunkum and had 6 children. To the best of my knowledge, Dr. Theodore N. Sellers was the last living member of the family at the time of his death in 1918. The only sibling I can't account for is Elizabeth Magdalene Sellers (March 1823 - ?), who married Jacob Shirey. After her marriage to Shirey, they both pretty much dropped off the face of the planet, so to speak. Hope that helps :-) Michael -----Original Message----- From: Georgia Fletcher [mailto:chick@blzwire.com] Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2003 12:13 PM To: SELLERS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [SELLERS] Jerome H. B. Sellers of August County, Virginia Michael, I notice on rootsweb WorldConnect that you list the son of Jerome H. B. Sellers as Thomas Epps Sellers. The census records call him Theodore Sellers, who also had an uncle Theodore Sellers, brother to Jerome H. B. Sellers. This is all according to census records. Can you clarify? Thanks, Georgia
