    3. I thought I'd throw another (later) James Young Sellers into the mix. ----- RHODES-SELLERS [Thurs. Dec. 6, 1934 Butler County (Ala.) News] Mr. James SELLERS and Miss Della (Delia?) RHODES were married at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. Will RHODES of Bolling Sunday afternoon. by Rev. John HANKS, uniting two of the most widely known families in Butler County. Mr. SELLERS, son of Mrs. Lena SELLERS of Georgiana has acquaintances throughout the state. ----- Wedding Bells Ring During December 1934 [from the Jan. 3, 1935 Butler Co. News] This article contained a list of December 1934 marriages, including James Young SELLERS to Miss Delia RHODES. ----- James Young SELLERS (born 1907 in Butler Co., Ala.) was the son of Lewis Ennis (Lena Young? or Rhodes?) Sellers, son of Duncan Thomas (Eliza Jane Brooks) Sellers, son of John D. (Eliza Ann) Sellers, son of [Benjamin?] Duncan (born c. 1794 in NC) and Elizabeth Cromartie Sellers. I don't yet have the marriage license for James's parents, Lewis Ennis Sellers, Sr. and Lena. James's mother, Lena, is listed as Lena Young Sellers in her obit but Lena's mother is listed as Mrs. Lura RHODES. I don't know if YOUNG is Lena's middle name or maiden name. James Young Sellers died in a hospital in Chicago but is buried in Sellers Cemetery in Butler Co. Ala. -------------------- Cheryll Sumner Irishsttr2@aol.com
