Hello Richard, I have been reading your mail with interest because yours is the first instance of a reference to my family that I have seen yet in years of e-mail watching. I am a descendant of the Richard Sellars from Duplin Co. NC that you mention in your last letter. I think you may be on to something here because my Richard who was born in1788NC and came to Marion Co, around 1830 had a son Benjamin and also a son Jacob. They had a sister Susan. There were lots more of them and I have most of the history of Schley Co. but don't have a clue about Richard's parents or siblings. I have been to Schley Co. and seen Richard's headstone. It was not in the peanut field where he was buried but was lying against an old building on the homeplace. I think Easons lived there or owned it. Richard had a daughter Julia who maried an Eason. I hope you can help me with a connection to your folks and maybe we can both be of some benefit to each other. I know all about my relatives in Schley Co. but t! hey know hardly anything about the family. If I can be of some help please ask and let me know if you might have info of my Richard. My Richard's grandson was named James RICHARD Sellars and HIS grandson is James Richard Sellars (ME) I hope to hear something from you soon.
