marie and wanda ! i'm WAY behind in reading messages and just saw this one last night. almost could NOT sleep......another cousin ? marie.........i just love your list.......thanks for being there for all of us ! wanda........imagine my delight in seeing your messages forwarded by marie about.......MARTIN LUTHER and Nancy MYERS "LUTHER's" father is actually DAVIS Sellers who married MARY UGENA FERGUSON. Davis is my Civil War Great-Grandfather. "LUTHER" who i recall was his first born has many brothers and sisters......sorry i don't have my notes handy........and one of Davis' youngest boys was LLOYD JOSEPH Sellers, my grandfather. LLOYD JOSEPH Sellers has two children.....#1 MARY aka/MERRY and #2 GENE (my father) note about my dad......GENE.......who died April 23, 1997.......i believe we just figured out his real birth name was also LLOYD JOSEPH Sellers. i don't know if he ever REALLY knew that. anyhow.........i'm "up here" in Washington State now.......moved out of Southern California in 1981....i've been "brought together" (online) by this wonderful List Serve with numerous cousins who have TONS of detailed information on the SELLERS and MYERS. Have you contacted Neal Cates yet ? Go to Ancestry.com........put in DAVIS SELLERS and you'll get hits on family trees by Neal........hundreds of family members. Neal is "up here" too. regarding Civil War DAVIS........i have his original discharge from 1865. his first son.......born in Oklahoma by his first wife.......Ethyl (?) Hill......was my father's half-brother........James Colton SELLERS......he changed his name to MELODY and married his cousin. long story.
