James Kirkpatrick and Mahala Sellers grew up together in s Brown Co,but his father,Andrew,was at Milroy,Rush Co,Ind before their 1839 wedding. Likely James returned, and got Mahala,and 1840 and 1850 census shows them at Milroy,Ind. 1860 and 1870 shows them back on Straight Creek. Their farm abutts the N FOX survey of 2090 acres,with theT.Fox SURVEY JUST EAST OF THAT-4000 ACRES..Levi Dunn might abutt them . I supose they got land from Michael Sellers. 1860 and 1870 census there,but their kids in a Georgetown house. My guess is that their ARNHEIM NEIGHBORHOOD HAD become so German that the local school was in German. Hamlet of Arnheim had 3 German churches,and one Baptist,and once a Shaker group.Was pioneered by English lined people who moved away,and replaced by Germans. =======
